Show # 125  Song Lyrics

It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It’s the most wonderful time of the year

With the kids jingle-belling and everyone telling you

Be of good cheer.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year.

It’s the hap-happiest season of all.

With those holiday greetings and great happy meetings

When friends come to call.

It’s the hap-happiest season of all.

There’ll be parties for hosting, marshmallows for toasting

And caroling out in the snow.

There’ll be scary ghost stories and tales of the glories

Of Christmases long, long ago.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year.

There’ll be much mistle-toeing and hearts will be glowing

When loved ones are near.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year.

repeat from “there’ll be parties”

Yes, the most wonderful time, oh the most wonderful time of the year!

Santa Claus  Rock

Wave to the people, stomp with your feet

Hands on your hips,  now twist with the beat

Do the rock! The Santa Clause Rock.

Oh yeah, uh huh,

The Santa Clause Rock.

Snap all your fingers, clap both your hands

Turn around and boogie and rock with the band

Do the rock, The Santa Clause Rock,

Oh yeah, uh huh,

The Santa Clause Rock.

Solo:

Boogie to the left, boogie to the right, boogie to the middle ‘till you rock out’a sight

Do the rock, the Santa Clause Rock,

Oh yeah, uh huh, The Santa Clause Rock.

Hey, hey, hey, hey (echoing each other) ho, ho, ho, ho

Hey, hey, hey, hey, ho, ho, ho, ho

Yeah rock, the Santa Clause Rock

Oh yeah, uh huh, the Santa Clause Rock (sing 3x)

HO HO HO!

A  Visit  With  Santa

I couldn’t wait to sit on Santa’s knee

and tell him what to bring

‘cause he gives each child a candy cane

and makes his jingle bells ring.

I told him I’ve been very good

and helped at home a lot,

then it was time to ask him to bring me

Spoken:   “I forgot!”

Repeat entire song

He's  Too  Fat  For  The  Chimney

He’s too fat for the chimney,

Too fat for the chimney

So open the door and let poor Santa Claus in.

There’s no room for his tummy,

Please do something, Mommy.

Without Santa Claus oh how can Christmas begin.

I don’t see how I’ll get the presents I’ve been looking for.

I knew while sitting on his lap in that department store

That he’d have troubles by jimney,  he’s too fat for the chimney.

So open the door and let poor Santa Claus in.

I don’t see how I’ll get the presents I’ve been looking for.

I knew while sitting on his lap in that department store

That he’d have troubles, by jimney,  he’s too fat for the chimney.

So open the door and let poor Santa Clause in.

“TOO FAT!”

Chocolate In My Stocking

Solo #1: As we’re standing in line to sit on Santa’s lap, I wish I could just lie down and take a nap.

All I ever see are grownups’ knees and undersides of Christmas trees, I never ever get to see what’s happening.

Solo #2: I’m so bored with all the time that’s gone to waste, I can almost see the look on Santa’s face.

I’ll bet he’s tired of hearing everybody else’s Christmas list; he’s about to hear from someone with good taste.

I just want chocolate in my stocking for Christmas, I’m really very easy to please.

I don’t need a new computer or dozen of toys

I’d be a lot better off with a dozen Almond Joys.

Give me *chocolate in my stocking for Christmas, it could be chocolate covered cherries or fudge

So forget the candy canes, the popcorn licorice when you’re spreading Christmas cheer.*

Fill my stocking full of chocolate in December, and I’ll be happy for the rest of the year.

Repeat from * to *

Solo #3: Fill my stocking full of chocolate in December

Group: And I’ll be happy for the rest of the year.

Solo #3: Don’t want no fruitcake!

Group: Happy for the rest of the year

Solo #3: I’ll risk a toothache.

Group: Happy for the rest of the year,

Santa don’t forget to bring the chocolate this year!

I'm  Getting  Nuttin'  For  Christmas

Soloists:

I broke my bat on Johnny’s head; somebody snitched on me.

I hid a frog in sister’s bed; somebody snitched on me.

I spilled some ink on Mommy’s rug; I made Tommy eat a bug,

Bought some gum with a penny slug; somebody snitched on me.

Group joins soloists:

I put a tack on teacher’s chair; somebody snitched on  me.

I tied a knot in Suzie’s  hair; somebody snitched on me.

I did a dance on Mommy’s plants,  climbed a tree and tore my pants

Filled the sugar bowl with ants; somebody snitched on me.

Oh, I’m getting nuttin’ for Christmas,  not a thing, not a thing

Mommy and Daddy are mad, really mad, so mad.

I’m getting nuttin’ for Christmas, ‘cause I ain’t been nuttin’ but bad.

I won’t be seeing Santa Claus;  somebody snitched on me

He won’t come visit me because  somebody snitched on me

Next year I’ll be going straight; next year I’ll be good, just wait!

I’d start now, but it’s too late; somebody snitched on me.

Repeat chorus

So you better be good whatever you do ‘cause if you’re bad, I’m warning you

You’ll get nuttin’ for Christmas.

Don't  Want  To  Wait

Its always a long wait to Christmas

it seems like December  takes so long,

it’s really quite hard to be patient

til the day we open presents comes along.

Chorus:

So we gotta be good, gotta be good,

gotta be good, the day is coming.

Don’t wanna be good, wanna be good,

wanna be good  any more this year.

Some presents have been here for weeks, I really want to take a peek.

I don’t wanna wait, don’t wanna wait til Santa's here.

Our tree has been up since Thanksgiving,

the stores were selling stockings last July.

I’ve been good as gold since my birthday,

how much more can a poor kid take of waiting

waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting,

waiting, waiting, I’m so tired of waiting.

And I’ve gotta be good, gotta be good,

gotta be good to get my presents!

Don’t wanna be good, wanna be good,

wanna be good any more this year.

I’ve tried to rattle it, shake it, strike it,

I want to know if I will like it.

I don’t wanna wait, don’t wanna wait, don’t wanna wait,

don’t wanna wait, want to open it  now.

Special part at microphone:

Mom says that Santa can see you.

Dad says he won’t like this at all,

but what if brother tries to break it,

sister tries to take it?

Group:

We don’t wanna wait, don’t wanna wait,

don’t wanna wait, Ah, ah, ah

Such a long (sing long 12x) time.

I’ve been ready for Christmas since summer,

did all of my shopping in advance,

I’ve been on my very best behavior.

Hope that Santa gives us one more chance,

And we’ll try to be good try to be good,

try to be good til Christmas though

its hard to be good, hard to be good

hard to be good this time of year.

Would one little present really hurt,

what if I don’t eat dessert?

I don’t wanna wait, (sung 3x)

Voice from offstage:

“Hello, Santa’s watching”

Group:I think that I’ll wait-sing 3x

‘til Christmas day.

White  Christmas

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas,

Just like the ones I used to know,

Where the treetops glisten and children listen

To hear sleigh bells in the snow.

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas

With every Christmas card I write:

“May your days be merry and bright,

And may all your Christmases be white.”

Solo:

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas,

With every Christmas card I write:

“May your days be merry and bright,

And may all your Christmases be white.”

Everyone sings:

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas

With every Christmas card I write:

“May your days be merry and bright,

And may all your Christmases be white.”
